TL;DR – Quick Summary

  • Follow Niantic’s Terms of Service and Player Guidelines.
  • Be respectful, kind, and inclusive.
  • Keep conversations drama-free; avoid politics, arguments, and toxicity.
  • Stay safe at meetups and represent the community positively.
  • You are responsible for your own actions and safety.
  • Unsafe behaviour has zero tolerance and may be escalated to Niantic or the police.
  • Respect moderator decisions; warnings or bans may be issued.
  • We never store or sell personal data unless required by law.
  • Most importantly: have fun and help create a positive space for all trainers.

1. Follow Niantic’s Rules

All trainers must follow Niantic’s Terms of Service and Player Guidelines. This includes avoiding:

  • Multi-accounting, account selling, or trading.
  • Spoofing or using third-party map or scanner tools.
  • Data mining or sharing unreleased game information.
  • Discussion of third-party raid services (PokéRaid, PokéGenie, LeekDuck, and similar).
  • Wayfarer misconduct.

Breaking Niantic’s rules risks removal from the community.

2. Be Respectful

Everyone deserves kindness and respect.

  • Banter and sarcasm are fine with friends, but avoid it with strangers.
  • Be patient and supportive, especially with new players or those who need extra help.
  • Discrimination, harassment, or bullying will not be tolerated.

This community is for everyone. Inclusivity is non-negotiable.

3. Keep It Drama-Free

Our focus is Pokémon GO, not personal conflict or divisive topics.

  • Avoid political debates or unrelated arguments.
  • Keep the space positive, welcoming, and focused on fun.

4. Meetups: Conduct and Safety

At meetups members are expected to:

  • Act responsibly and represent the community positively.
  • Avoid griefing, hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or illegal behaviour.
  • Respect public spaces; do not litter or cause damage.
  • Understand that photos may be taken in public areas.

5. You Are Your Own Responsibility

  • RDAB is not responsible for members or their actions.
  • Meetups are informal gatherings at safe public locations.
  • You are fully responsible for your own safety and wellbeing.
  • RDAB is not liable for injuries, accidents, or issues that occur during play.

6. Zero Tolerance for Unsafe Behaviour

We take community safety seriously. If necessary, RDAB may:

  • Report issues directly to Niantic.
  • File police or hate-crime reports for serious incidents.

Unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated.

7. Respect Moderation Decisions

Moderators volunteer their time to keep this community safe and enjoyable.

  • Respect their decisions.
  • Repeated violations may lead to warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal.
  • Appeals can be made via the RDAB User Appeals Process policy.

8. Data Storage and Privacy

  • We do not collect your data unless you provide it (for example, for event competitions).
  • We do not sell or share your personal data.
  • Data may be shared only if a user has broken the law or poses a risk to other Niantic ambassador communities across the UK.

See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
