Sobble Hype

After a scorcher of a Meetup for Frigibax, we’re onto match 2 of the Spark CDL Season, Sobble. Will Sobble’s tears camouflage it from our pokéballs or will its mournful cry warm its way into our hearts.

Now that the scores have been verified, RDAB has started off the Spark Season at the bottom of the Worlds League Table. We need to dust off those quick catching fingers and get on our comfiest trainers to try and pull ourselves out of the relegation zone. Will Sobble’s shiny debut be the answer to woes? We’ll find out on the 4th of July.

What is CDL?

CDL is a Global Pokémon Catching competition between various communities vying for catching dominance. It opens at 9am and closes at 5:15pm locally every Community Day.

The competition is broken down into two divisions; Catch and Weight.

Catch Division Score 1 point for every Sobble caught during the 3 hour Community Day event. Score +5 points for every shiny Sobble caught not traded during Community Day. Your score is calculated with screenshots of your Sobble Pokédex from before and after Community Day. Along with a screenshot of your shinies with the search string. Age0&shiny&!traded&+sobble

Weight Division This is your heaviest and lightest shiny Sobble caught this year. This is entirely based on the Weight of the Pokemon. It does NOT have to be xxl or xxs as that is based on height not weight. You will need screenshots of shiny Sobble with the weight and height visible for entry into this division. Please do not send evaluation screenshots. Those hide the height of the Pokemon. We can see if it’s from a previous year with the year tag.

For full rules, information, and direct entry please see the CDL link at the end of the blog. If you need any assistance with the website, please feel free to message.

Additional Information CDL is a global competition. This means you do not have to attend our Meetup or play in Doncaster. However, if you are able to attend, please consider it. The check-in rewards are definitely worth it. See the Rewards section for an items listing.

Screenshots must be taken within the competition time period. No earlier than 9am and no later than 5:15pm. Upload deadline is 5:30pm. If there is an issue, please message me. To ensure fair play, points may be deducted from communities who do not follow the rules.

You must play according to Niantic’s ToS guidelines. This includes but is not limited to not using multiple autocatchers on one account.

Entry is done via the CDL Website. You must be listed in Raiding Doncaster & Beyond to be eligible for RDAB rewards. If you want to switch communities, you will need to join the CDL Discord to request the change.

If you do not have a CDL account, a competition record will be created for you. This record is only visible on the website for 7 days or less, unless you log into the competition record to claim it and accept the privacy notices. A DM will be sent via Campfire with temporary access to the record.
