A Christmas Moment for Our Community

Trainers, this one comes from the heart.

As the year winds down and Christmas settles in, we wanted to do something that felt right. Something meaningful. Something that said thankyou in ways that words can’t.

So as of 11pm, December 23rd 2025, we are proud to share that the Official RDAB Campsite has now gone live in-game. A Christmas gift from us and the Community Ambassador programme, to you.

This is a celebration of you — a community that has built this space, TOGETHER.

This campsite is more than the 14 new gyms, 5 new Pokestops and 5 new power spots (!!). It’s about moments. About meeting people for the first time and leaving together as friends. About familiar faces turning up week after week. It’s about the city feeling alive with laughter, joy and excitement. This campsite exists now, because you show up, and you make this community so much more than just a game.

There’s something else we wanted you to know.

You are now a part of an award-winning community. 🏆

RDAB was recognised at the recent CA Awards ceremony by Niantic for one of the best collaborative projects of 2025, standing alongside communities from some of the best cities in the world. That kind of recognition isn’t just a badge for us as a team: it’s a reflection of everyone who makes this place what it is.

It belongs to: 🏆The trainers that welcome others without being asked, 🏆The volunteers and admins who give up so much of their time, 🏆The players who look out for each other, 🏆And a city that shows how powerful community can be when you are kind.

This is your achievement. Well done Doncaster.

As we head into the festive period, please keep the following in mind:

😴 Community Ambassadors and admins are taking a very well deserved rest over the festive period, whilst we still may be around — we will be a little quieter.

💝 Advent calendar digital codes will be distributed slowly to ensure there’s no issues over the next 72 hours.

🥳 Advent Calendar raffle draws will take place on the 26th December in the evening.

More than anything, this post is about gratitude.
